As a student who made the transition from 海角社区 (NHCC) to Minnesota State University, Mankato, I wanted to share my journey and some of the crucial steps I took to make the transition as smooth as possible.

I also kept in mind the need for affordability while proceeding with the transfer. This meant looking at the various forms of aid provided by the various institutions I was applying to, and how this matched up with the various projects carried out by major, career outcomes, and overall school environment, which was overall a really long process that I needed to make an informed decision.
NHCC provided the support I needed to make that move, whether it was through their advising services, transfer resources, or just the supportive community of faculty and staff.
The Transfer Process: Steps to Take
1. Research Schools and Programs
Before making any decisions, I researched universities that had strong computer science and Computer, or Electrical engineering programs. I looked at:

2. Meet with an Academic Advisor
One of the most valuable resources at NHCC is the academic advising team. My advisor helped me ensure that the courses I took at NHCC were transferable to my new school. I made sure to submit all the required documents well ahead of time and followed up to make sure everything was processed correctly. Calling about what to do, or how to do it, when faced with a technicality that's difficult, also doesn't hurt.
