Studio Arts Capstone Practicum
The is a spring semester course for students who have completed a significant portion of coursework in the Art Transfer Pathway Associate of Fine Arts at 海角社区 (NHCC).
It is a capstone experience in which students refine their skills in portfolio building, artistic presentation in the professional arts world, resume building, critique skills, exhibition preparation, and use of web resources for artists' representation. Students work closely with faculty to integrate concepts learned throughout their program into a final portfolio of work in preparation for continued study or work.
This spring the Capstone was taught by Gina Dabrowski, faculty in the Fine Art Department at NHCC. Check out the information on the Art Transfer Pathway Associate of Arts degree!

Pha Moua
As a kid, I grew up watching the fantasy world created by many others, and those works have inspired me greatly. My works similarly follow this idea, in which I make stylized arts that are purely from my own imagination and interpretations. My works shows fantasy that speaks a form of truth that we are not able to express in reality, as well as explain concepts that we cannot fully grasp. In my art capstone, I use acrylic on canvas after washing it over with a gesso first.

My artworks are inspired through my mental state throughout the years. Each painting is a representation of my emotions while making the work to create a unique feel and atmosphere for each artwork. My works are portraits of myself that induce emotion deep from within the depths of my being that are harder to express through words. In my art capstone, I have used acrylic paint over canvas, alongside a spray bottle to get a more of a washed color in certain areas.
My canvases range from 8"x10"s to 18"x24"s with my largest canvas being a 24"x36".
Thank you to Savannah and Pha for sharing your work and talents with us!
