The Testing Center administers a variety of services to support student success.
- All testing services require a valid government issued picture ID.
- Testing requires a distraction-free environment; food, beverages, cellphones or other technology devices, perfumes, and guests (including children) are not allowed in the testing area.
Course Placement
Interested in registering for a course but don’t know if you meet the prerequisites?
Many courses require students to complete specific requirements before enrollment. If you are unsure whether you need Placement Testing to meet these requirements, please complete the   to find out.
NHCC Instructor Testing
Need to Make Up a Test?
If you miss a class exam—or your instructor approves you to take one early—you may be eligible to complete it in the Testing Center. Please speak directly with your instructor first to confirm your options. If your instructor authorizes a make-up exam, you can schedule your appointment through RegisterBlast, available in your D2L Course.
Proctoring Services

NHCC provides testing spaces for individuals attending other Minnesota State institutions with no charge.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Test
Looking for a faster way to earn college credit without taking a full class?
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) allows you to earn credit by demonstrating your knowledge in a subject area. CLEP exams can help you meet prerequisites, complete graduation requirements, or accelerate your program by awarding college credit for successful exam scores.
Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
Looking to get into the Nursing or MLT program and need to take the TEAS Exam?
If you are looking to get in our Nursing or MLT program you will need to take the TEAS test. It is a timed, multiple-choice exam evaluating your knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Life Science, Chemistry, Math, English and Language Usage, and Reading Comprehension.
